If Norma measured 42 at her fullest part, she wouldn't wear a 42D for God's sake. She was slender, even had an unusually tiny waist so her rib cage was probably only a 34 at the most, maybe even 32! So, from 34 up to 42 would be 8 steps meaning she needed, whether they even had such a size back then, a 34H. Hell, if she measured 36 around the rib cage she would then have needed a 36F at the least. And viewing the few photos of her in just a bra, it sure looks like 36F to me.
I suspect this taps into the mentality that there is no cup size beyond D. Must have been written by a man.
